ERICKA ANGIULI (an-ju-lee)

My interest for fashion design stemmed from my Grandma, who exposed me to the theatre as a child.  After numerous school theatre productions and long days as an extra on major film sets, I knew I wanted to pursue costuming as a career. With a plan in mind I set out to make my dream a reality. I attended FIDM where I graduated in 2009 with an AA in Fashion Design. Wanting to perfect my craft, I decided to further my education. This led me to the Art Institute of Orange County where I recently graduated with my BFA in Fashion Design.

I believe fashion is art, it is architecture, and it is movement. It should be functional, and serve a purpose. A purpose that doesn't always have to be defined.

Inspired by the darker sides of life I am able to find beauty in the less attractive. This tends to give my designs a slight edge and toughness. I design clothing that will enhance a woman's figure and boost her self esteem. I want my clothing to be her protection, her stability, her confidence. My designs are everyday costumes, sophisticated pieces with a touch of edge and always classy.
